I am concerned that the title and abstract of this article are completely identical with those of another article published by Dr Sherley at the same time (Stem Cells 2002;20:561-572 www.StemCells.com). Are the texts of the article identical, and, if so, is this not potentially a serious breach of scientific ethics? I would appreciate a rapid response, as Dr Sherley is currently in Australia supporting opponents of new laws liberalising human stem cell experimentation.
